Welcome to the sixteenth series of The Edinburgh Lectures which will present and discuss Changing Landscapes. The United Nations has declared 2008 the International Year of Planet Earth and this year’s theme reflects this.

Under the banner Changing Landscapes, the series will explore issues about our universe, our heritage, our society and how it is changing. From astronauts to zoologists, each speaker will share their unique perspective on Planet Earth.
