A pluralist, His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal, believes in societies in which all peoples can live, work and function in freedom and with dignity.

His Royal Highness has initiated, founded and is actively involved in a number of Jordanian and international institutes and committees. HRH recently served as a member of the Commission on Legal Empowerment of the Poor which published its report in June 2003, and the West Asia-North Africa Forum initiated by HRH, held its inaugural meeting in April of this year.
