Responsible business survey

The Edinburgh Perspective: research results 2005

The Council, in partnership with the OneCity Trust, has carried out a groundbreaking survey into responsible business in the city. 200 businesses answered questions about their activities on

• community involvement and investment
• workforce and workplace issues
• environmental issues
• marketplace issues.

The research, carried out by Scottish firm FMR Research, makes 20 recommendations to enhance the positive activity already happening around responsible business in the city. Recommendations are directed to businesses themselves, particularly Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, and to the Council and its partner organisations.
