The Reference Library holds copies of legislation from the Westminster parliament in printed and electronic formats. We hold acts of Parliament dating from 1714 and statutory instruments going back to 1978.

Acts (dating from 1988) and Statutory Instruments (dating from 1987) are also available online.

The Reference Library also holds a complete set of 'Halsburys Laws of England'

Scottish Legislation

The Scottish Library is a Scottish Parliament Partner Library, and as such can provide information about the Parliament and its work. It also collects documentation issued by the Parliament e.g. Acts, Bills and the Official Report

European Legislation

The Reference Library is an EPIC (European Public Information Centre) and as such houses a collection of European Union information.
